Chemical abortions with life pristine and misoprostol now account for about 60% of all abortions in the US. Women who have taken the first drug, mifepristone, and changed their minds, now have a second chance at life. Dr. Delgado will review the mechanisms of action of mifepristone as well as how progesterone can be used to reverse the effects of mifepristone. He will discuss both animal and human data which support the safety and efficacy of abortion pill reversal (APR).
Biography
George Delgado, M.D.
Dr. George Delgado is the founder of Abortion Pill Reversal, now known as Abortion Pill Rescue. He practices family medicine in San Diego and is president of Steno Institute. Dr. Delgado has authored or co-authored three articles published in the peer-reviewed medical literature on mifepristone abortion and the reversal of mifepristone using progesterone.
