Krishna DasGupta, MD, Clinical Psychiatrist, and Fr. Michael Lawinger, Associate Pastor, Christ King Parish
Social connection, the glue that holds society together, is also a fundamental human need, as essential to individual survival as food, water, and shelter. According to the Surgeon General, an increase in isolation and loneliness in our country has reached epidemic proportions. Loneliness contributes to premature death, heart disease, stroke, anxiety, depression, and dementia. The young are more affected by loneliness than adults. How do we protect people from loneliness and increase social connectivity? Dr. Krishna DasGupta and Fr. Michael Lawinger will offer psychological and spiritual strategies and recommendations.
